NEW – Demo Bed Arrives at Living Needs!

Living Needs now has the fantastic Rise&Recline Sherwood bed on display in our showroom on Mill Road (Barnstaple).  If you have been thinking about investing in an adjustable bed, but want to try one before you commit to buying, come and have a look.  Available in a large range of colours and mattress types to suit everyone, these British-made beds are among the best on the market.

Sometimes called a rise-and-fall bed, an adjustable bed mattress moves at the touch of a button to a position that is ideal for sleeping or resting.

Adjustable beds come as single, dual or double. Double means one double mattress that is operated as one unit. Dual means two mattresses side by side, but operated independently – allowing two people to continue sharing the same bed space whilst enjoying different resting positions.

To get the best out of your adjustable bed, go for bespoke – this means the bed’s height, width and length are made to fit you exactly.

Some people opt for an adjustable bed simply because they want to be comfortable reading or watching TV in bed. Other people need them for medical conditions.

Adjustable beds allow you to raise your legs at the touch of a button.  This is beneficial for people with poor circulation, who are often told to sleep with their legs slightly elevated.

For those who spend longer periods in bed, an adjustable bed facilitates comfort as the bed’s position can be adjusted throughout the day and night.

An adjustable bed makes it easier for people with back pain, arthritis or reduced mobility to get in and out of bed unaided .  This can help people to maintain independence for longer.

And it all helps improve sleep, thanks to the wide variety of sleeping positions that can be achieved.

Rise and Recline adjustable beds and chairs are available to order from Living Needs.  Our showroom is open weekdays 9am-4.30pm.  If you decide to place an order, we can also provide delivery and installation of your item and remove all packaging for your convenience.
